Korolenko-library services near 55 thousands users, near 3 millions
documents are issued to them. There are 12 reading-halls with 524 seats
to reader's service.Working hours: Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. till 19
p.m. Saturday, Sunday: from 9 a.m. till 18 p.m.Now we service distance
users and hope that it will be convenient for you in our big and fine
library.
The Kharkiv state scientific V. Korolenko-library - the second with the
size of its stocks (7 millions documents) and one of the oldest
libraries in Ukraine.Every year the library receives near 70 thousands
documents (books, periodicals, newspapers, databases and electronic
documents on CD-ROM etc.).Ramified system of information-bibliographic
apparatus of the library contains near 60 catalogues and card indexes
including: electronic information-bibliographic fund, automated
databases, printed summary catalogues and the archives of asked
information.
The library has the wide international connections. Among the partners
of the library are: Library of Congress USA, State Library of Bulgaria,
Poland, Hungary, Portugal, Turkey, Cuba, University libraries of
Sapporo (Japan), Sofia (Bulgaria), Lublin and Poznan (Poland), Austrian
Institut of South- and South Eastern Slavs (Vienna), Goethe-Institut
Inter Nationes (Munich, Germany), Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers (IEEE, USA), American-Ukrainian fund
"Seibr-Svitlo", the International Renaissance Foundation, Ukraine
friends association (Canada) etc.
Our users have the opportunity to get information from Germany, Austria
, Canada at the special reading-rooms : Austrian library, German
literature reading-room, Ukrainian-Canadian library. This reading-rooms
are organised with the help of Goethe-Institut Inter Nationes, Austrian
government, Canadian Ukraine friends association. We have Library of
Human Rights documents of Council of Europe too.
